Ideas from Selfridges

I do like Selfridges shop windows
Always so imaginative
And today they didn’t disappoint either
I think that this is the perfect solution for me, use the umbrella quite a lot, the same can’t say about watering the plants



This one would be of great interest from my part too

Well also another interesting one, to cool down those hot cuppas



These following ones not so much for me
Not my style





And the last one, would not be the best wake up method for me …. nothing gentle about it

Still …. about last Christmas

Prior t Christmas I was busy, with most of my presents being homemade.
Started earlier in the year, but the smaller ones were left to the end
The kids, had all special mats, and one of the sides was done with chalk fabric.
I have to admit brilliant to work with



There was (only) eight of them
Then some of the ladies had these



Handy for tea lovers to have on their handbags

And then for a Very Special Person and her knitting, a bag she kept asking me to do her one
Her wish came true this year



The rest you had the chance to see while I was doing them
It was a good year in terms of sewing
Let’s see what 2014 brings

Bargains

Well this is the time of the year that you can find some real bargains
I know people, that buy now, their presents for next year
That’s a bit too much for me, I can’t think that far ahead
But this year, and strolling at one of my favourite shops, yes I do love stationery, I just couldn’t resist
Specially when I saw that they were 70% off their normal price



Well I’m sorted for next Christmas lol

Happy New Year

And today is the last day of 2013. personally a very good year, a year full of surprises and a few very good ones.

A year that the word serenity was always present.

Regarding 'Simply by Carla' there are plans. there are dreams

But essentially going to dedicate myself to the Present, and keep it Simple, Peaceful and Enjoyable as 2013 was.

Merry Christmas

A bit late, and a huge apology, but being on holiday, all the daily ' normality' goes out of the window.

I hope you are having a great Christmas, with all the Special people in your life.
I hope that Santa has been good to you

…. that I’m addicted to Liberty, if you haven’t noticed before



It’s just Quality!!!
Put a kid in a Sweet Shop, exactly the same feeling when I go into a shop with Liberty
That’s all I can say

Bread

I have to admit.
It’s a great recipe, full of goodness
Well recommend it
Will have a slice a day, just sliced the whole loaf and put half in the freezer
It’s a great help to my diet
Really pleased with it

Simply in the Kitchen

Let’s change the subject slightly today
After reading this post in Sofia's blog I just couldn’t resist to make this bread
It just looks fantastic, I just have to see the Life changing bit
Well since I’m on this diet, and doing well, why not.
I have to say it was  …..say challenging, to get all the ingredients, but I did
Today I just put it all together, and going to leave it to rest overnight
It definitely looks healthy I have to say, and I can’t wait to try
So today will be the before photo, tomorrow I’ll show you the after

New adventures

I’m one for trying new stuff, I like to experiment new materials
This is my new craze, could be worse. I suppose …..
I’m still waiting for materials to arrive, meanwhile I test the ones that I have already received
What I love about crafts, it’s the variety, I suppose watching the Craft Channel doesn’t really help, but …
Meanwhile I keep practicing



The tags are fun to make, they are from recycled cardboard
Just something else to do, while I’m on my little world
