Long time …..

I could give you a list of excuses why I haven’t been around, I could… but I’m not going to.
Because every single one of you, know how the days just fly, there should be more hours
But there isn’t. And before you notice a month has gone by.
Life has been good, with lots going on, but above all, dedicating time to those people that really matter in your Life, gives you that sense of achievement and happiness in the end of the day.
If you told me a year ago, how I would be feeling today, I probably wouldn’t believe
Every day we learn something, every day you meet wonderful people.
I’m so lucky!!!
Don’t think Life has been easy, far from it, but I do believe if you believe in yourself and in your dreams, sooner or later, Life gives it all back
I’m at that stage, very calm, very content, and my God, I’m going to make the most of every single minute.
So what I can tell you, it doesn’t matter how much Life throws at you, be strong and always keep your dream in your mind, and even if you give a very small step every day, don’t give up, one day you’ll get there.
Never give up!!!
Saying that, going back to my hobby or hobbies, just seem to want to do everything now.
Dressmaking course is just great, feel so good, and learning with who knows what they are talking about, it’s wonderful
Been seeing a lot of t shirt projects on the net, via blogs, pinterest and so on, so I decided to try
Started…. not even knowing what I was going to make…… just so me….. think as you go along, seems to work wonderful with me.
I just bought one, that was the only one in the shop, but somehow one was all I needed
One day this might not work, but until then, let’s take chances lol







My opinion about this yarn, well, not the easiest to work with, heavy, I did it in three evenings, but it hurt my hand and my arm.
I have had problems with my arm, so it didn’t help
Don’t say I will never work with it again, no. Never say never, but ……
I love how it turned out, and I know of a sweet little girl that is going to be so happy to have this in her new bedroom

Past Creations II

Sometimes, and as a good Gemini, I like to change, and vary a bit from Patchwork
As a young girl, I use to knit all my jumpers, I knitted lots, have to find some pictures to show you…
I really have lost touch with knitting, will have to get back to it one of these days
But one thing you never forget is crochet.
In my life I have been a very luck girl, both grandmothers, one in sewing, and one in crochet, they were just fantastic
And my Mum, how patient was she? She was the knitter, she was my teacher, she taught me all in knitting and in crochet
So I can say it ran in the family, sometimes I wished I had learned more, but you know what, I think that I did learn lots
That’s why, I consider myself so lucky, having had teachers like that, what more does one person want?
Unfortunately both my grandmothers never saw my Patchwork, they would have been so proud
But my Mum she knows exactly what I am doing, she knows my thoughts about Patchwork, and yes she’s my number 1 fan.
She just loves everything I do, she’s great.
Today I’m going to show you something I did in 2011.
It’s cute, it’s soft and I love it, and it’s very handy for those cold days while working in the computer
It’s my crochet blanket, so much fun to make it

Yet another book

The day that starts with the postman, with yet another book, is a good day
And today was a good day

Novo desafio... New challenge

Este desafio vai ter duas partes, ou seja vai ser feito em grupo
Uma parte aqui na Inglaterra e outra aí em Portugal
Entao uma simples toalha de mesa, vai ser transformada para condizer numa cozinha amarela e branca
Depois de muito pensar, ja passamos ao passo seguinte, que e o comecar..
Já nao estamos mal.
E um dia destes depois passo a bola, neste caso a toalha, para a fase final, a parte do crochet
E a minha mae terá assim uma bela toalha de mesa feita a duas (neste caso 4) maos, as minhas e as dela

This challenge is going to be in two parts, it's going to be a group project
One part here in the UK and the other in Portugal
So a simple tablecloth, it's going to be transformed to match a yellow and white kitchen
After a lot of thinking, we have moved to the next stage, that's the starting point
Not bad.
And one of this days I'll pass the ball, in this case the tablecloth for the final part, the crochet part
And my Mum will have a gorgeous tablecloth made by two (in this case 4) hands, mine and hers
