Jelly Roll Quilt

Um método bastante interessante, e que para mim esta a ser a primeira vez
Como vos mostrei os tecidos aqui ontem foi a vez de começar o meu novo quilt

A very interesting method, and first time for me
As I showed you here, yesterday was the start of my new quilt

Comeca-se por unir uma tira branca com uma de cor

Start by joining one white and one coloured strip

Depois cosemos de ambos os lados duas tiras previamente unidas, lado direito com lado direito

Then we sew two strips previously sewn, right sides together

Depois cortamos em triangulos

Then we cut them in triangles

Muitos triangulos mais tarde…

Lots of triangles later…

E quando abrimos o triangulo, temos o quadrado

And when we open the triangles we have a square

E agora, ou daqui a uns dias vai ser a parte mais interessante, que é distribuir e arranjar os quadrados para o top do nosso quilt
And now, or in a few days we start with the most interesting part, arranging the squares to form the top of the quilt

E para a semana é dia de curso, e para a semana vou aprender uma nova técnica
E para a semana vou trabalhar com ‘ Jelly Rolls’ e hoje fui escolher os tecidos
Para mim, esta é a parte mais excitante, o escolher, o imaginar…….
Venha o sábado ……………………………………….

And next week it’s  course day, and next week I’m going to learn a new technic
And next week I am going to work with ‘ Jelly Rolls’ and today I chose the fabrics
For me , this is the most exciting part, to choose, to imagine……

Eu penso que nao…. rodeadas de tecidos lindos, conversa e muita risada….
Definitivamente um começo fantástico de fim de semana
O pior é a carteira, fica mais levezinha
And is there better start for a Saturday than a visit to a Patchwork Shop?
I don’t think so….. surrounded by lovely fabrics, chat and lots of laughter….
Definitely a fantastic start of the weekend

Still here

Sei que tenho andado tao desaparecida, mas primeiro culpo o Facebook , quer dizer  culpada sou eu, mas é mais giro culpar outra coisa.
Entre uma operacao, entre prendas de Natal, entre estar com Amigos, entre estar com pessoas muito Especiais, isto tudo tem contribuido muito para a minha ausencia aqui do blog.
Pois e nao vamos esquecer o trabalhar, fim do ano financeiro, e muitoooo trabalho
Mas hoje passei por aqui para vos desejar uma optima semana e dentro de dias publicarei aqui umas fotos, pois este sabado vou escolher os tecidos para o novo quilt, nova técnica e estou tao excitada
Portanto nao julguem que me esqueci de voces simplesmente ainda nao consigo esticar o meu tempo, precisava muito mais de 24 horas.
Mas a vida é Boa, Muito  Boa mesmo.

I know I have been away far too long, but firstly I blame Facebook, well the blame is mine actually but it’s much easier to blame something else.
Between one operation, Christmas Presents, being with friends, being with very Special People, all of this has contributed for me not posting in my blog.
Well and let’s not forget the day job, end of the financial year and lotssssssssssssss of work.
But I am posting today to wish you a great week, and in a few days I will put some photos, because this Saturday I am going to choose the fabrics for a new quilt, new technic and I am so excited
Therefore don’t think that I have forgotten you, I just can’t seem to stretch my time, I needed much more then 24 hours in a day
But Life is Good, Life is very Good indeed
