Excel Spreadsheet

You would think that I would have enough of Excel during the week, not to want to touch them on a weekend
None of that, on a Sunday night I’m thinking on how to quilt
I always said, that Excel was one of the greatest things ever
And even in Quilting I still say the same.

With one and a half arm, it takes longer, but things have to move, because I can’t see the baby waiting for my arm to get sorted.

About the Shop

Some of you have asked me about my creations, what happened to them, when are they coming out?
Well first of all, one of the projects has been created, some changes need to be done, but over all very happy with it.
Also have been unlucky in the last month, because managed to get ‘Tennis Elbow’ or ‘ Mouse Elbow’ as my lovely doctor calls it. And here goes a HUGE Thank You for the people that really care, and you know who you are.
After a month and now in physio don’t see/feel much improvement. Last night, unfortunately, seem to have gone back to beginning , with a simple quick movement ….. Ouch!!!!! It really hurt
So, back to square one!! Fantastic!!
But in the world, there’s definitely people much worse then me, and apart from a arm, that has been causing a lot of pain, life goes on, and let me tell you Life is pretty good
Going back to the shop and my creations
I, as some of you know so well, enjoy and really appreciate my Life, at the moment, have lots of projects in hand. Friends presents, course work, don’t tell anybody but hasn’t been touched since last lesson, and next one is next week, how do you do Patchwork, with one and a half arm? Yeah I know……. impossible!!
Boyfriend is not very good in that subject, so really I’m alone on that one
But as I was saying, Life is too precious, and I don’t, or shall I say I refuse to be pressured in something that I absolutely love.
So the shop at the moment is on standby. For how long? I don’t know
So apologies, for the one’s that were really looking forward, but at the moment I haven’t got the answer.
One day, maybe.

Addicted

I surely am a very lucky person. I have the most kindest of all ‘ Mother in law’s’.
She is a beautiful ‘inside and out’ Lady.
She gives me fantastic tips.
Every time I visit her, she has a beautiful garden, and in her house I fell in love, and now I am totally addicted to Lemon Grass Tea (Chá Principe), always direct from her garden.
In January she gave me some to plant in our garden.
Looks dead, but this week, changed the pots and there’s roots which is a fantastic sign.
I will keep you in touch with the development of this plant.
Let’s just keep our fingers crossed

Perfect Day

The thermometer shows 19.5 degrees.
The sky is blue the sun is out.
What a way to start the day……. a trip to the garden centre…… perfect for a Saturday
If you know me, I absolutely adore Lavender, have lots, but you never can’t get enough, this one is a bit different from the others but couldn’t resist



And because every year something else is introduced, this year has been the turn of the Magnolia, still young, but give it time and she’ll be a beauty!!!



And at the moment in this garden we also want to grow vegetables, we are starting small and here’s a novelty.
Have you ever heard of Pineberries?
Well let me tell you, that I can’t wait to try them, and they are Strawberries + Pineapple …… love both so the mixture must just be wonderful



And also some tomatoes, still in very early days



What a great day, I could stare at the garden for hours, what a lucky girl I am.

Top finished

And here she is, the top of my new cushion.
Haven’t decided how the rest is going to look, but at the moment the hardest bit is done
I’m sure it will look very nice in my sewing/spare/studio room
I am pleased with the way it turned out

And Sunday night is here…

I am a organised person, well sometimes too organised, some would say. But I like the way I am, I’ll rephrase that, I love the way I am.
By Sunday night, the clothes are washed and ironed, the soup is ready for the lunches, and dinners semi prepared for the week.
In the house front all is ready for the week.
That is all sorted.
Mentally, that’s a bit different.
After a very relaxed weekend, doing the things I really like, Monday comes as a bit of a shock for the system.
Hectic Mondays, at work soon make me forget the weekend
But such is life.
Still….. I am a Very Happy person, I do appreciate every day, the life I have, and the people that make my Life very Special

Envelopes

Love making my own envelopes.


You can use all sorts of paper.
Often use wall paper samples brought from the shops.
All sorts, nice magazine sheets, whatever is available
So easy to make, specially with this wooden pattern that I found in Etsy.

The weekend

What a lovely weekend this one has been.
It involved Patchwork, and lots of it, the Baby Green Quilt is beautiful and it has been a truly pleasure to make.
Lots of cooking, tried this new recipe just came out of the oven can’t wait to try.
Went to a not so nice Car Boot Sale, but it was worth the walk, early in the morning.
Had a siesta, what a great feeling, absolutely love it.
Peace and quiet, was truly relaxing.
Sorted out the clothes and finish all the ironing
Well I couldn’t have done more this weekend
Feel Happy and in the end of the day that’s all it matters.

Those days that all goes well, and you have a big smile.
Those days that apart from the physical pain that you are going through life seems to flow.

Decorating the lounge…… once again

Well a lot of decorating has been happening in my lovely home for the last two weeks
When I bought the house the lounge looked like this:
